2012 summer showreel

In our first full year of business, we collected a Visual Effects Craft Loerie for Allan Gray Time Flies and produced a string of quality CGI-driven commercials.

Among other intensive visual effects and compositing projects, our Cape Town post production facility shrunk actors’ heads for Cannes Gold-winning American director Chris Nelson and 7 UP; composited a futuristic plane for Belgian director Gil Bauwens and Audi; and, most impressively, created a photo-real CGI museum for Velocity Films’ Keith Rose and VW Amarok.

“We’ve built Searle Street Post on a scalable model,” explains creative director Heino Henning. “With our reliable pool of local and international VFX and CG artists, we are in a position to assemble a bespoke team to best serve the nature of each specific project. Gone are the days of being tied to a permanently employed team of generalists; we are now always using people within their niche specialty.”

Heino works closely with lead compositing artists Udesh Chetty and Charmaine Greyling to oversee these bespoke teams. “This international model has paid off beautifully for us,” Heino says. “The work speaks for itself and our tried and tested CG pipeline can be scaled up or down as required.”
